How to use Cloth Diapers?

Cloth diapers offer several benefits for both parents and the environment. Firstly, they are more cost-effective in the long run than disposable diapers, as they can be reused over and over again. Additionally, cloth diapers are gentler on the baby's sensitive skin, as they are made of natural materials and do not contain chemicals or perfumes. By choosing cloth diapers, parents can also reduce their environmental impact by decreasing the amount of waste ending up in landfills. Finally, the use of cloth diapers promotes a sustainable lifestyle by reducing resource consumption and contributing to a cleaner and greener planet for future generations.

Why Cloth Diapers?

The answer can be summarized in three sustainable arguments: cloth diapers are gentler on the skin, better for the environment, and significantly cheaper to use in the long run.

1. Our cloth diapers are made from natural materials that are much gentler on sensitive baby skin compared to disposable plastic diapers.

2. Cloth diapers are kinder to the environment because you only need to buy a few diapers that last throughout the diaper period, and they can then be recycled.

3. Cloth diapers are better for household finances since they can be reused again and again throughout the diaper period.

Below you can read more about our different diaper systems:

All-in-One Diaper

The all-in-one diaper is an option that doesn't require any extra inserts and has full functionality right away. With this diaper, diaper changes become easy and smooth. The diaper comes in four different sizes for the best fit.

Usage

The soft and adjustable velcro fastens easily and makes diaper changes quick and simple. The practical wash tabs protect the velcro from sticking to other laundry.

The soft seal around the legs provides an effective leak barrier, and the diaper has a waterproof outer fabric (PUL) that is breathable, soft, and durable. The absorbent core is made of certified organic cotton terry, and the fixed inserts that can be folded depending on where more absorption is needed are also made of organic cotton.

What Do You Need?

If you wash every third day and change about eight times per day, you will need 24 diapers. You may also need extra inserts for nighttime for older children.

All-in-Two Diaper

The all-in-two system is the most affordable and economical option as the diaper is adjustable and can be used throughout almost the entire diaper period. The diaper fits children between 4-16 kg.

Usage

The diaper grows with your child and fits throughout the diaper period. The diaper consists of a waterproof outer shell, then you add the insert that best suits your child. The all-in-two inserts are specially designed for the diaper where they snap together with the shell. These inserts come in two sizes. If you have a small baby under about 8 kg, you may only need the small insert. If you have a larger child or need more absorption at night, you can place an extra insert loosely in the shell. The diaper shell can be reused for 2-4 diaper changes before it needs to be washed.

What Do You Need?

Our all-in-two products can be purchased separately or in sets. This allows you to choose whether to buy the diaper shell with or without inserts. This allows you to put together the best solution for your child. If you are using cloth diapers for the first time, our starter kit is recommended. We recommend having about 6-8 all-in-two diaper shells and 18 inserts. This covers the need for 8 changes a day and washing every third day.

Diaper Cover

Our sized diaper cover is a favorite among many cloth diaper users and is the most flexible system. The diaper can be used with the fitted terry diaper, which is easy to put on.

Usage

Place the fitted terry diaper in the diaper cover and adjust the fit with the velcro. Make sure the diaper is inside the cover. You may need to add extra terry inserts at night or if the child urinates a lot. When the diaper is dirty, put it in the wash; the shell can be used for 2-4 changes before washing.

What Do You Need?

Choose the right size of the diaper cover and inserts based on your child's weight. You need 24 terry diapers and 3-5 diaper covers for daily use. Feel free to choose different diaper covers and try which one fits your child best. You will save a lot of money!
